LMC App Not Installed
If Android refuses an LMC APK, preserve the working setup first. Package identity and signing identity matter to Android application installation, so replacing or updating an existing app is a different case from installing a separate package variant.
Before removing anything
Identify the file and existing app
- Confirm the exact LMC filename and package ID on the release page.
- Check whether an installed camera app already uses that same package identity.
- If you are trying to update an existing package, remember that Android can reject an update when the signing identity does not match the installed app.
- Keep any working APK/config details recorded before uninstalling or replacing an app.
Controlled checks
Separate identity, file and Android checks
Existing package conflict
Two APKs with the same Android package ID target the same installed-app identity. A different recorded package identity may install separately, but that is not a compatibility guarantee.
Update signature mismatch
If an APK is intended to replace an installed app but uses a different signing identity, Android can refuse the update. This site has not independently measured the signing identities of the listed binaries.
Incomplete or changed file
Re-check the exact filename and download origin. File hashes and sizes are shown only when independently measured; absent verification should remain unknown rather than assumed.
Android security prompt
Follow the device’s normal installation/security flow and investigate warnings rather than switching protections off as a generic fix.
