LMC Camera Black Screen
A black preview can come from a different layer than a failed saved image. Start by finding out whether the app launches, whether the main camera preview appears, and whether the problem affects one lens, every lens or only a configuration-loaded state.
Baseline
Test the simplest path first
- Record the LMC release, exact APK filename, package ID, phone model and Android/vendor software version.
- Test the base app without an XML if one was recently imported.
- Open the main rear camera before testing ultrawide, telephoto, front camera or video.
- If the preview appears, press the shutter and confirm a file actually saves. Preview and capture are separate results.
Isolate the scope
What the black screen affects matters
Only one auxiliary lens is black
Keep the main lens as the control. Package identity can affect camera access, while vendor restrictions can still prevent an auxiliary lens from working.
Every lens is black
Return to the unconfigured base app and confirm the exact package/software state. Avoid changing the APK and XML simultaneously.
Black after XML import
Remove the config from the diagnosis first. A profile can change lens mapping and many processing settings at once.
Started after a system update
Treat the older result as historical evidence. Android or vendor-software changes can alter camera behavior even when the phone marketing name stays the same.
Package changes are tests, not guarantees
If you compare another recorded package identity, change only that variable and record the result. A package that restores one lens on one device/software state should not be generalized to every phone in the same brand or family.
